Introduction
A Business Case captures the reasoning for initiating a project or a task. It is often presented in a well-structured written document, but may also sometimes come in the form of a short verbal argument or presentation. The logic of the business case is that, whenever resources such as money or effort are consumed, they should be in support of a specific business need.
A Business Case justifies the start-up of a project. It includes a description of the business problem or opportunity, the costs and benefits of each alternative solution, and the recommended solution for approval.
This 2-day Business Case training programme will address current business concerns, the benefits of the project, and recommendations and justification of the project. This business case will also discuss detailed project goals, performance measures, assumptions, constraints, and alternative options.
Objectives
This workshop will provide participants with a working knowledge of the principles of writing an effective, comprehensive and compelling Business Case. The course is driven by participation in a case study, promoting immediate workplace transference.
